Hi, I am Amanda and if you are looking at this you have decided that, either you or someone you know, is in need of some help to get back on track emotionally again. The aim of counselling is to support people through difficult periods in their lives when for whatever reason, they feel stuck, out of control and are finding it hard to manage negative thoughts and feelings. It can be used to help cope with depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship problems, trauma, self esteem panic attacks or other emotional upsets.
My role as a counsellor is to help you through these difficult times by encouraging the exploration of the issues affecting you. By doing so they are more able to focus on the positive steps required for their own personal growth. I provide a non-judgemental, empathic and genuine therapeutic relationship that facilitates this growth within a safe space.
